Sound familiar?

The laptop closes. The brain does not.

You function under a constant level of stress and call it normal. Jaw clenched, shoulders up, the meeting still replaying on the sofa.

Always on

“My brain doesn’t switch off from work.” No commute, no transition, no landing.

Tense all day

“I’m always clenching my jaw.” Stress lives in the body long after the thought.

Tired but wired

Too tired to do anything, too switched on to rest. Netflix, scrolling, wine. Again tomorrow.

49%

of Americans frequently feel significant stress, the highest in three decades of asking.

75%

had at least one physical symptom of stress last month: tension, headaches, fatigue.

Like a cat purring on your chest, the size of your body.

Low, slow waves roll through your back, hips and legs. The breath lengthens by itself. The jaw lets go.

What changes

A nervous system that stands down.

Fifteen minutes between the day and the evening.

The jaw unclenches first

Shoulders drop, breath lengthens, the hum switches off.

A real transition

Fifteen minutes between work-brain and home-brain. The commute you lost, given back.

Nothing left behind

No hangover, no guilt, no glare. Your evening, returned.

Calm you can measure

Researchers track it with heart rate variability. You will track it by where your shoulders sit at nine.

Your transition ritual

Three steps. No technique.

Nothing to count. Nothing to visualize.

How it works

Your body unwinds faster than your mind.

Woojer turns the low end of sound, 1 to 250 Hz, into precise physical sensation: a hand on your back, a heavy exhale, a purr.

Researchers track calm with heart rate variability. More variability at rest means the rest-and-recover side of your nervous system is in charge, and vibroacoustic studies have measured that shift.

You cannot think your way out of a clenched jaw. You can feel your way out of it. Music, or one pure frequency from the Frequency producer program: both work.

“The @woojer haptic mat has been such a supportive tool when my nervous system needs a little extra love 🤍 I put on 888 Hz and was SO surprised when the vibrations created such a powerful release that I actually started crying. It was exactly what I needed after a long week. Feeling lighter and more at ease.…”

The evidence

What researchers measure.

Independent researchers study low-frequency sound and the stress response. Here is what they measured.

Peer-reviewed RCT · 2025 · Woojer

Breath pacing, felt physically.

Journal of Anxiety Disorders · Emory University and University of Pittsburgh

Woojer in the protocol 128 adults, eight sessions of breath-focused mindfulness. One group wore a Woojer on the chest, the sensation synced to their own breathing.

What was measured Breathing rate and steadiness, visit by visit.

What was reported Only the Woojer group breathed more steadily across the sessions. Slow, even breath is the most studied route to a calmer nervous system.

Low-frequency sound and the stress response.

Frontiers in Psychology

What was studied 54 students under acute stress: low-frequency sound stimulation or a control, double-blind.

What was reported Heart rate variability improved in the stimulation group, the measured shift toward rest-and-recover.

Heart and brain during a vibroacoustic session.

Sensors · University of Southern Denmark

What was studied Healthy adults, heart signals and EEG recorded during a vibroacoustic session.

What was reported More parasympathetic activity for every participant, and EEG patterns of reduced arousal and increased relaxation.

“It is basically stimulating the body with very low sound, like sitting on a subwoofer … something you feel instead of hear.”

Good questions

Questions, answered.

Everything people ask before they buy.

Does vibroacoustic therapy help with stress?

Researchers measure stress with heart rate variability, and low-frequency sound has shifted it toward the rest-and-recover state in controlled studies; the studies are above. What you notice is simpler: the jaw unclenches, the shoulders drop, the breath slows, usually within ten minutes.

How long does it take to feel relaxed?

Most people feel the shift within ten minutes: the jaw loosens, the shoulders drop, the breath slows. A full Relaxation session is about twenty. A two-minute Stress reset is there for the middle of the day.

Can I use it on the sofa while watching TV?

Yes. That is exactly what the Vest is for: wear it on the sofa, play the movie or your music through it, and the low end becomes physical. The MAT works on a sofa too if it is long enough to lie on.

Do I have to lie down, or can I sit?

Either. The MAT is made for lying down. The Vest and Strap work seated: the sofa, an armchair, a desk chair, a train seat.

Can I wear the Strap at my desk or on the train?

Yes. The Strap sits flat across your chest or on your waist under a shirt, weighs about 240 grams (8.5 oz), and is silent to the people around you. A Stress reset between meetings takes two minutes.

Is it a massage? How is it different from a massage gun or chair?

No kneading, no pressure points, no motor pounding one spot. Woojer turns the low end of sound into slow, whole-body sensation you feel through your back, hips and legs, or across your chest. It eases muscle tension rather than working knots, and it is quiet.

Will it make me sleepy at six in the evening?

A Relaxation session brings you down without knocking you out: most people finish calm and clear, not groggy. If you do want sleep, choose a Sleep session and let it carry you.

Does it help with tension in my shoulders and jaw?

Tension is where most people notice the change first. Lying on the MAT, the upper zones sit under your shoulders and upper back; the Vest wraps the torso. The sensation eases muscle tension and gives a clenched body a reason to let go.

Wine works for me. Why this?

No judgment. Woojer is a way to come down that leaves nothing behind in the morning: no hangover, no guilt, no screen glare. Fifteen minutes, then your evening is yours.

Do I need music?

No. Woojer works with anything that makes sound, and it works with pure frequencies alone. A tone generator, or the Frequency producer program in Woojer Wellness Premium, sends a single frequency, say 40 Hz, through your body with nothing to listen to. Music makes it immersive. Pure frequencies make it precise. Headphones keep the room silent either way.

Does vibroacoustic therapy actually work, or is it just listening to music?

It is music you feel. Low frequencies you normally only hear become physical sensation through your body, and researchers measure the response with heart rate variability, breathing and brain activity. Independent university researchers have used Woojer in peer-reviewed studies.

How loud is it for people around me?

The sensation travels through your body, not the room. With headphones the room is silent; without them, people nearby hear at most a soft low hum.

Is it safe to use every day?

Woojer products are designed to meet UL, CE and FCC standards and are safe for general use. Do not use Woojer if you have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic or mechanical device. Talk to your doctor first if you are pregnant or have a heart condition.
